Player of the Week

Another obvious one - Janko Tipsarevic - he's the only choice this week. Had the Roddick-Mathieu match not been rained off I may have plumped for the Frenchman instead (assuming victory for Mathieu) but this Serbian player has stood out most at Wimbledon so far.

Nice blog! My tennis watching began in 1987 (the Pat Cash year) when I was grounded after a nasty accident. Got to watch the whole tournament at home whilst being fed strawberries and cream by mum!!!

Sounds ideal - apart from the accident. I'd like to be there now with my own stawberries and cream, and a pimms too, of course.

Re Tipsarevic - all the Serbian players have been great fun to watch, I was cheering Djokovic on today even though I've got Hewitt on my team. Ivanovic also saved three match points. Not bad - we've got all the women's semi-finalists between us! The rain has meant that it's not been a classic Wimbledon so far, but it's definitely improving fast. Strawberries and cream anyone? You can have my Pimms for me. Love K and the future Welsh Grand Slam winner xx

The strawberries this year are particularly lovely. No doubt the recent heavy rain will have rotted them and they are bound to go up in price.
